Graduated from Sydney University, trained at Royal North Shore and Gosford Hospitals. She has particular interests in Women’s Health, Preventive Medicine, Nutrition, Weight Control and Paediatrics. She holds a post graduate diploma in Family Planning, and is an affiliate of the Newcastle Skin Cancer and Melanoma Unit.

Graduated from Sydney University, trained at Prince Alfred, St. George and Gosford Hospitals. He has particular interests in Emergency Medicine and Paediatrics and has done post graduate study in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Palliative Care.

Graduated from the University of Tasmania, trained at Royal Hobart, Launceston and Gosford Hospitals. He holds a masters degree in Geriatric Medicine and a Diploma in Obstetrics and gynaecology.

Dr Sam Gartland MBCHB B.Sci(Hons), FRACGP, MRCP(UK)
Dr Gartland Grew up in London and Studied at Manchester University in the UK. He went on to train in multiple specialities in London, Sydney and Manchester before moving back to Australia in 2010. He has a particular interest in Multiple Sclerosis and Nutrition. He has undertaken further training in Skin Cancer and Palliative Care Medicine and Palliative Care and works with the Mariner’s Youth team.
Dr Silke Vahar-Matiar. MD, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFTP.
Graduated in Berlin, Germany in 1993 and afterwards worked for two years in a surgical department before moving to Bedford, England where she did medicine, A&E, Paediatrics and Gynaecology and settled as a GP. She was a partner in a busy GP surgery for twelve years before moving to Australia in January 2014.
Her special interests include women’s health, lifestyle medicine, antenatal care, cardiology and skin cancer. She holds the DRCOG (women’s health qualification) and is qualified to fit Mirenas, IUD’s and contraceptive implants.
Dr Bronwen Morrison – MBBS (Hons) Cert. Reproductive & Sexual Health, FRACGP Graduated from University of Sydney and trained at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals. She has interests in Mental Health, Women’s and Youth Health, Preventative & Tropical Medicine and is qualified to fit Mirena IUD and Implanon Contraceptive Implants.
Most consultations take about 10 to 15 minutes. If you think you require a longer time, please advise the receptionist when making the appointment.
Please advise the receptionist if the appointment is for anything other than routine, such as for medicals for insurances or driving licences, minor surgical procedures, immunisations, pap smears, etc.
The first consultation may also take a little extra time and may require a double appointment. If you cannot keep your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can reallocate your time.
This Practice is a private billing practice with bulk-billing services available for Veterans, aged pensioners and all health care card holders. All children under the age of 16 and all high school students 16-18 years will be bulk-billed.
Private patients are asked to pay at the time of consultation. Payment may be made by cash, eftpos, visa card or MasterCard. The Medicare rebate can be claimed on the same day – reception will advise of this procedure.
